Our Programs / Services
Infants (3 - 18 Months age)
Our Infant program in our School in Gaithersburg, Maryland serves children 6 weeks through – 17 months of age. As children reach the age of 18 months, they are transitioned into the Toddler program; the exact timing depends on space availability and the individual child’s developmental progress. The student: teacher ratio in our Infant program is 3:1.
Preschool (4 - 5 Years)
Our preschool program in our school in Gaithersburg, Maryland is a three year progression in a mixed-age classroom, which we call Primary. Children enter the class when they are three years old, and stay in the same class through Kindergarten. In the early afternoon, while younger children are napping, our Pre-K and Kindergarten students receive advanced lessons. Children leave the program well prepared for elementary school, no matter where they go next. Primary students who are 3 or 4 years old may attend for the morning, or for the whole day.
Wellness Program
In kindergarten, your child can learn different fundamental knowledge that allows them to be ready for grade school. At TopHat Childcare, we make kindergarten fun and enjoyable while covering the academic content your child needs to be on the path for success in grade school. Using the freedom and creativity method, the kindergartner in our school will learn fundamental skills in math, reading, and writing.
Summer Camp (1 -5 years of age)
Also offering classes in Science, Astronomy, Zoology, Robotics, Intro to Spanish, Intro to French, Spanish-Infused Art, Karate, and Soccer and opportunities to engage in Mindful Movement, outdoor jogging with faculty, and Organic Gardening

Daily Engagement
Staff/Student Ratio of 1/3 for children under 2 years old, 1/6 for children 2-3 years old, and 1/10 for children 3-6 years old – We have more teachers on hand to fit over the ratio so that each child is given a fair chance. We also offer a learning curriculum that is centered around weekly themes.
Home away from Home
We have two nurseries that hold a lot of love, nurture and care. We never seem to shine light on this as if it wasn’t important. Teacher and children relationships set off to shape the way they see the world.
