A New Concept in Preschool

Montessori

What makes Montessori education so different that drives parent to enroll their children for this? The reason lies in the program’s three main principles of learning – self-directive, cooperative, and non-competitive.

1. Self Directive: At a preschool in Chantilly, children are just given the resources they need and the learning objectives. They’re not subjected to strict timelines to complete their tasks. Giving them free rein on their tasks is a way to develop their independence, creative thinking, and curiosity.

2. Cooperative: At an infant care and Montessori school, learning isn’t teacher-centric. Instead, it focuses on collaboration between students and teachers. As kids are encouraged to direct their own learning pace, they’re also trained to ask questions and guidance from facilitators.

3. Non-competitive: As kids are trained to be cooperative and independent, they’ll also learn to appreciate the learning process of their peers. At a child care in Virginia, kids are trained to see education as a long-term personal growth initiative, not as a way to compete with others.

We at Maplelawn Montessori strive hard to deliver bigh quality Montessori at preschool level.

What Parents Say About Our School

Akuto Van Mensvoort

My daughter has started going to Top Hat Childcare before she started walking and she’s now almost 5. I have to be honest, when it comes to small children, it’s very delicate, you either feel strongly about what you want for them or you’re ok with giving it a try and see how things go. The later approach worked for us, just like many other things in life. There were times were I would bring up concerns and I may have felt like my concerns were not taken into consideration the way I’d like, however eventually everything always worked out. The teachers and school members always did take note of our concerns. The staff is very friendly and polite.
