History
Established in 2012, we offer an affordable, year-round program for working families. Starting with Pre-K, we expanded to include Toddlers and Infants, creating a warm, nurturing space where children feel happy and safe. Our mission is to foster a loving, peaceful world by educating young minds with respect and kindness. Blending Montessori and traditional methods, we provide student-centered lessons, hands-on materials, and a strong foundation for lifelong learning, with a special focus on creativity and self-expression.
At TopHat, play is essential to learning, with two spacious playgrounds encouraging growth and exploration. Our warm, nurturing nurseries help shape how children see the world. Conveniently located near Shady Grove Metro, we provide a safe and welcoming environment for children ages 6 weeks to 6 years. How are we different from other schools?

Our Curriculum is tailor-made based on each child’s needs. We also offer a learning curriculum that is centered around weekly themes, letters of the week as well as a number of the week.
Staff/Student Ratio of 1/3 for children under 2 years old, 1/6 for children 2-3 years old, and 1/10 for children 3-6 years old – We have more teachers on hand to fit over the ratio so that each child is given a fair chance.

A single monthly tuition payment covers all costs, with no surprise charges
Closed only on holidays (New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and the day after, Christmas Day), and for weather only when the roads are not safe for travel
