History

Established in 2012, we offer an affordable, year-round program for working families. Starting with Pre-K, we expanded to include Toddlers and Infants, creating a warm, nurturing space where children feel happy and safe. Our mission is to foster a loving, peaceful world by educating young minds with respect and kindness. Blending Montessori and traditional methods, we provide student-centered lessons, hands-on materials, and a strong foundation for lifelong learning, with a special focus on creativity and self-expression.

At TopHat Early Learning, play is essential to learning, with two spacious playgrounds encouraging growth and exploration. Our warm, nurturing environment helps shape how children see the world. Conveniently located near Shady Grove Metro, we provide a safe and welcoming environment for children ages 6 weeks to 6 years. Contact us to schedule a tour and meet our team.

How are we different from other schools?

TopHat Early Learning is an Early Learning Center serving Gaithersburg, Montgomery Village, and upper Montgomery County communities in Maryland. We provide full-day, year-round programs for working families and are committed to the safety, well-being, and development of every child. Our programs and pricing are designed to support families with young children, giving you peace of mind while you work. Below are some of the features we offer:

Our curriculum is tailored to each child’s needs and includes weekly themes, letters, and numbers

Staff-to-student ratios:

1:3 for children under 2 years
1:6 for ages 2–3
1:10 for ages 3–6

Early Bird and Extended Day programs available

Online parent communication with daily updates on meals, naps, and activities

No teacher workdays or early closings

One monthly tuition with no hidden fees

Closed only on major holidays and during severe weather conditions (New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and the day after, Christmas Day), and for weather only when the roads are not safe for travel

They are so loving, patient, and caring. Our daughter has always been a very picky eater, but with their encouragement and care, she is now eating so much better. They also helped her get into a great nap routine, which has made a huge difference at home too. The Director, Hiru, is wonderful. She goes above & beyond for every family and is always involved in making sure the children are happy, safe, and well cared for. The center is always clean, the staff are friendly, and everyone makes us feel welcome. We have complete peace of mind knowing our daughter is in such good hands every day.
